If there is a heaven, it's certain our animals are to be there. Their lives become so interwoven with our own, it would take more than an archangel to detangle them. ~Pam Brown

...love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation. ~Kabril Gibran

Brangi was diagnosed with Lymphoma in June, 2006.   My prayer was always Lord please don't let me have to make the decision to put her down but PLEASE don't let her suffer. I also prayed daily for God to let her live until I finished the academy.  I KNEW that I would be devistated if I lost her while I was going through that and I would quit.  She was all I had when I left my family and friends to move here.  I packed up a uhaul and had my baby.  We started this journey together.  I was so lonely some days but I had her and thats all I needed.  She made me think I could do it and she was so much company for me in a city where I knew no one.  While I was at the Academy she stayed with my mom.  She had many rounds of chemo and radiation at the Specialty Hospital in Cary that sent the disease into remission for a few months. These pictures were taken when I was leaving to go back to Raleigh.  I kissed her and she kissed me back one last time.  I graduated from the police academy on August 24th, 2007. Brangi held on until then but lost her battle only a few short days later.  I KNOW in my heart that she did that for me!!!    She fought long and hard to beat that vicious disease but lost that fight on September 17, 2007.

No heaven will not ever Heaven be. Unless my cats are there to welcome me.
